The Best Gifts for Little Yogis -December 2024

I have always loved shopping and finding the best gifts for little yogis during the Holiday season. Over the years, I have been gifting my own children, books, toys and props that incorporate mindfulness into their lives. Below is a list of my favorite yoga and mindfulness gifts for children, of all ages.

Yoga and Mindfulness Gifts for Preschoolers

Many of the gifts below are perfect for toddlers and preschoolers because they are thoughtfully created to provide comfort and sensory stimulation. They are beneficial because they help children learn how to self soothe and offer a tangible source of comfort. This can be helpful during stressful moments or periods of transition with caregivers (separation, bedtime). I love that they teach independence with mindfulness and are a subtle way to incorporate it in every day moments.

Fisher Price Meditation Mouse

My children did not have this, but when I was researching gifts for this post, found this gem. This little Meditation Mouse is adorable. The reviews are excellent with parents and grandparents loving how simple and soothing this toy is and easy to use. I am a huge fan of anything that is soft, snuggly, and mindful. I definitely can’t resist this!

Daisy the Yoga Goat

This is a new toy to hit the market for 2024 and it’s silly, serious and interactive. One of my yoga students received it as a birthday gift in September. Her Mom shared that she wanted me to see it, and I had to get one for my students. This small goat talks and moves into some yoga poses and is an adorable way to introduce yoga to preschoolers. I also heard rave reviews from another Mom who said her Kindergartner and preschooler find this goat hilarious (Spoiler alert- He toots!).

ThinkFun Yoga Spinner Game

There are a few different yoga games on the market these days, but this one is tried and true. I love how simple the instructions are and how easily children can play this game. They can play it by themselves or with friends. ThinkFun products are generally a hit in my classes and with my own children. (There’s another game, below for older students!)

Yoga and Mindfulness Gifts for Elementary Students

I currently love teaching yoga and mindfulness to my elementary aged students. Their yoga practices are becoming more developed. They are still soaking up the information I am providing them in class and participating, with less judgment. These gifts all support their physical, mental, and emotional development in various ways. They also reinforce the importance of a simple yoga practice.

Hoberman Sphere

This gift is perfect for yogis of all ages. This is also more widely known as a “breathing ball.” I often gift these to classroom teachers. Their students then have a tool in the classroom to rely on during stressful situations. My own children love using this toy at home. This gift can truly connect children and adults, of all ages, with their breath and body.

Breathe with Me Barbie

The year the Breathe with Me Barbie came out, I had purchased one for my oldest and she received three as birthday presents. This small doll was a sweet voice and reminds children to, “Inhale” and “Exhale.” This Barbie is flexible and can be manipulated into various yoga poses. It is perfect for elementary aged students.

ThinkFun Yoga Dice Game

According to customer reviews, there are several top reasons people love this game. It makes yoga fun for kids. The game is easy to learn and play, and encourages physical activity. Customers mention that their children really enjoy the game and it helps get them moving.

I love that this game is targeted towards children older than six. I have found that around six, it becomes more challenging to engage children in yoga. This game is easy enough to follow and play either independently or with a friend. (Similar to the preschool ThinkFun game above!)

Yoga and Mindfulness Gifts for Tweens and Teens

I have been teaching tweens and teens for years. Now that I have my own almost teen, I am always looking for new tools to gift her. Below are some of our faves and if you have any suggestions, please send them my way.

Breathing Buddha

I absolutely adore my Breathing Buddha and so does my oldest daughter. He’s soft and his colors are soothing. There are a few different timers on him, which allow older yoga students to learn and practice different breathing techniques. I think this is a perfect accessory to a desk or nightstand in a teens bedroom!

Mindfulness/Yoga Card Deck

There are so many different types of Mindfulness/Yoga Card decks on the market right now. I have this set for years and love how easy it is to follow and understand. Tweens and teens have the flexibility to practice the poses as often as they wish. They can do this in the comfort of their own room.

Affirmation Cards

Similar to the Mindfulness/Yoga Card decks above, the market is flooded with these types of cards.. I absolutely love this set that I share with my daughter. They are beautifully decorated, simple and encouraging. I’ll put some in her backpack or nightstand and give her “things to think about.” I feel like they are small reminders throughout her week and they give us some things to talk about!

Yoga Mat

There are so many wonderful brands out there, but my favorites are Jade, Manduka and Lululemon. I was a loyal Jade customer for years and love how grippy the mat is (especially for hot yoga). I’m a fan of my husband’s Manduka mat because it’s nice and thick ( but I don’t like how heavy it is.)

I recently fell in love with the Lululemon mats, which brings me to my next suggestion….

Anything Lululemon!

This brand continues to be popular among my students, as well as my own almost-teen. You can’t go wrong with leggings, a scuba or the Everywhere Belt Bag. The teens swoon over their yoga mats (pictured above) & love their designs!

Are you giving any of these gifts this Holiday season? Do you have anything you’d love to recommend? Feel free to reach out and share your ideas!!
